Crawford Symphony XIV in E Minor
For Full Orchestra
A symphony full of every negative emotion as Crawford is lost in them.
Description
Crawford’s fourteenth symphony is all about releasing stress and anger. From enduring all of the pain and suffering to releasing it all and destroying much more than a room. This form of this symphony was inspired by Brahms Symphony 4. He never considered adding hemiolas to his music. Since then he uses hemiolas a lot in his compositions to define struggle, confusion and stress. He also uses a ton of ‘key switches’ in the finale to demonstrate the emotions he feels. This symphony was full of emotions he was feeling at the moment. This symphony also features his “Heartbroken Melody”.
This Symphony has fantastic Oboe, Violin, Flute, Bass, Cello, Viola, Bass Trombone, Tuba, Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon, and Piccolo Excerpts.
Fun Fact: This symphony was Crawford's first popular work he’s made since putting his music on social media.
