Crawford Symphony XVIII in C Minor "Sinfonia Enfurecida"

For Full Orchestra

A symphony full of a final stress from knowing the end is coming

Description

Crawford made this symphony specifically for a Juilliard Pre-college audition, although it didn’t help him get in. While this symphony was made for college reasons, this symphony still has personal things to him. The first movement is full of released anger that Crawford held on for months. This was the first symphony he made after the worst moment of his childhood life. The last 6 minutes of this symphony is Crawford finally destroying his room letting out all of his enraged fury.

This Symphony has remarkably miraculous Oboe, Flute, Piccolo, Low Brass, Snare Drum, Low Strings, Horn, Contrabassoon, Timpani, Trumpet, English Horn, Viola, Bassoon, and Violin excerpts.

Fun Fact: Crawford chose the key of C Minor because it represents “Cruel”, “Crazy” and “Chaotic”.
